Painting Hope for Burundi

Our artistic collective created a one-of-a-kind painting that celebrates the energy of Burundi and the values of the Foundation.

Painting Hope for Burundi

A Gala, a Painting, a Promise

Last night in Monaco, sport, solidarity, and art came together for a meaningful cause: the very first charity gala hosted by Thilo Kehrer, captain of AS Monaco, in support of the  Thilo Kehrer Foundation.

The mission? To raise funds and awareness for projects that empower and educate children in Burundi — a commitment at the heart of the Foundation’s work.

A Vibrant Work by Art of Canada

For this special occasion, the artistic collective Art of Canada created a one-of-a-kind painting that celebrates the energy of Burundi and the values of theFoundation.

Crafted using acrylics, spray paint, and pastel pencils, the artwork depicts a young drummer mid-dance — a symbol of cultural pride, strength, and resilience. Behind him, one powerful word stands out: “Terimbere” — which means “Moving forward” in Kirundi — a word full of hope and direction.

A Symbolic Sale, A Powerful Gesture

The painting was auctioned during the gala and proudly acquired by AS Monaco striker Mika Biereth. His gesture not only supported the Foundation’s work — it embodied the very spirit of the evening: generosity, purpose, and connection.

To bid on this piece was to welcome not only a work of art into one’s life, but a message of commitment and change.

When Art Becomes a Catalyst

At Art ofCanada, we believe in the power of art to build bridges and spark change. During this gala, art became a language of solidarity — a bridge between continents, values, and generations.

A heartfelt thank you to the Thilo Kehrer Foundation for their trust. And to all those who made the evening unforgettable: proof that creativity can carry more than beauty — it can carry hope.
