Fight Aids Cup Monaco

On January 23, 2023, Monaco's Louis II stadium was the setting for a much-anticipated charity soccer match: the Fight Aids Cup. This annual event is organized by Princess Stéphanie to raise public awareness of the fight against HIV and raise funds for research and help for those affected by the disease. The match featured two teams made up of former professional soccer players and entertainment personalities. The teams were represented by the color of their jerseys: the red team for the Barbagiuans (Prince Albert II of Monaco's team), captained by Mr. Louis Ducruet, and the blue team for the FC Cirque (Princess Stéphanie's team).

A host of famous players took part, including some of the biggest names in international soccer, such as Italian world champions Francesco Totti and Luca Toni, Clarence Seedorf, as well as Robert Pirès and Éric Abidal. French national team coach Didier Deschamps and Monegasque Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc rounded out the 5-star cast, much to the delight of the crowd. The match kicked off with an opening ceremony orchestrated by the Montecarlo Circus, before the two teams were introduced to the public, who immediately showed their enthusiasm and fervor for the cause.

The match was fast-paced and competitive, with goal-scoring opportunities on both sides. The players demonstrated their talent and commitment to the charitable cause. With a final score of 3-2 in favor of the red team, the Barbagiuans took the trophy for this Fight Aids Cup 2023 edition, but the real winner of this match was the fight against AIDS. The funds raised at the event will be used to finance research projects and help people suffering from the disease.

The event was followed by a charity gala, bringing together personalities from the worlds of sport and entertainment for an important cause. Prizes were raffled off to raise as much money as possible for the Fight Aids Monaco association: a tennis racket signed by Tsisipas, Cartier cufflinks, bottles of champagne... and an imposing work of art composed of 3 paintings, created by our Art of Canada teams.

This annual event continues to demonstrate that sport can be a powerful tool for raising awareness and funds for charitable causes.

In its artistic approach, Art of Canada makes it a point of honor to create for charitable causes. To help raise funds to donate to charities, we participate in major international events where art and charity come together. For the Fight Aids Cup 2023 in Monaco, Art of Canada created a canvas of 3 paintings in the colors of Monaco, featuring the Barbagiuan badge. We're proud to be able to showcase Canadian art across Europe, supporting causes that are close to our hearts.

As an extension of this action, we are also working on providing works of art for professional sports foundations and other charity events. Stay tuned!
